TIM GILL

President

Tim was born and raised in the center of Big Sky Country where he graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown Montana. His youth was immersed in Agriculture as he engaged in many 4-H activities from his local 4-H club and 4-H horse club to an active Junior Leadership role. He attributes much of his early life lessons in public speaking, leadership and integrity to 4-H. He truly believes that his abilities and success in life were molded by his parents and leaders sincere belief in 4-H.
 
He attended Montana State University, paying his way while a dorm resident advisor and dorm supervisor, receiving his Ag Business Degree in 1976.  He was active in several clubs on campus, including the Alpha Zeta AG honorary.
 
Tim had a forty year career in Agriculture Finance beginning as manager of the Rural Development loan program for the Montana Department of Agriculture. He spent over 36 years with the privately held Montana Livestock Ag Credit Inc. in several positions, his last thirty years as President/CEO, before retiring January 1, 2016. The Company remains the influential conscience in Ag finance leaders of Montana today.
 
He has served in many support and advisory positions: Montana Aggies, Board member Montana Council on Economic Education, Montana Ambassadors, Helena Chamber Air services Committee, Governors Council on Agriculture Tax Evaluation, an original Development Board member for the MSU College of Agriculture, Lewis and Clark County Fair board, National Cattlemen’s Tax and Finance Committee, Montana Stockgrowers Finance Committee, Montana Pilots Association, and chaired committees as a public board member of FBL Financial of Des Moines Iowa. Tim has been named to Who’s  Who among rising young Americans, US Executives, and American Business Leaders.
 
Tim and his wife Carol have three grown sons; Levi, Cody and Chase,  who all still enjoy hunting, fishing, water skiing, and horseback trips together as time allows.
