Parent and leader from Gallatin County
My child has a lot more confidence around adults and larger groups of children, and her independence continues to grow every year.
Parent of a 4-H’er from Blaine County
The communication skills my children practiced and gained in 4-H was one of the great benefits they received from their participation. As they attend college classes, they are amazed at how easy it is for them to complete public speaking assignments. Their 4-H experience also equipped them to lead a group and conduct business meetings.

In August, I asked our 4-H Club if they wanted to meet just once a month instead of weekly, and they all said that 4-H was the one constant in their lives right now, and they did not want to give it up. One of our youth, Jack, stated he and his classmates are currently feeling isolated, with two of them participating in remote learning, two in blended learning, and one in traditional classes. They had to stop participating in athletics, band, and other extracurricular activities. 4-H, according to Jack, is the only thing keeping them together right now.
Loral Hall, parent and leader from Missoula County
