Thinking About Sponsoring a State 4-H Program or project?
Get the Facts on the Options available...
The Montana 4-H Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, encourages the solicitation and acceptance of gifts to the Foundation for purposes that will help the Foundation fulfill its mission.  Besides endowments and bequests, managed agency accounts and temporarily restricted accounts are also managed as they pertain to the mission of the Foundation.  Project and program sponsorships may be annual gifts or funded through an endowed gift ($12,500 endowment generates a $500 annual gift for perpetuity).
The Foundation's mission is "to help 4-H youth by raising private funds, managing financial resources, and partnering with the MSU Extension Service in order to fund educational opportunities for Montana 4-H youth, volunteer leaders and 4-H staff."

Of course the reason to give is for the kids, who put countless hours into their projects at the local, county and state levels.  Only a few kids receive the honor of attending a national 4-H competition or event.  To attend a state or national event costs money and 4-H'ers are always most appreciative of financial support.  The cost of travel, lodging and food for a team of five, along with chaperones can be upwards of $5,000, especially of airfare is warranted.  Your generous gifts at both the state and national levels can help create once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for Montana 4-H youth that they might otherwise never Experience!
